Young Europeans for Active or Healthy Habits (YEAHH) will bring together 36 young Europeans to
explore healthy and active ways of living and to learn about the EU’s current objectives in the field of
sport. The 7 days long youth exchange will take place in Budapest, the capital of Hungary from 24 to
30 September 2016, and it involves the organisation of a small-scale sport event targeting locals and
international students.
Main objectives of the youth exchange:
1) Raise awareness about the importance of healthy and active living among young Europeans
2) Develop young people’s skills and competences to become more active and responsible
Europeans citizens
3) Develop young people’s competences to foster entrepreneurship through sport initiatives
4) Introduce the EU’s sport policy goals and the concept of European Week of Sport together
with the principle of Health Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA)
5) Make young people advocates of healthy and active living in their local communities
6) Provide opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities through sport-based nonformal
education
The second European Week of Sport (from 10 September 2016) provides a perfect framework to
increase the visibility of the initiative and to build a strong partnership around the project.
International Sport Association of Budapest will closely work with the Hungarian Leisure Sport
Federation, the Hungarian School Sport Federation and other stakeholders at local and international
levels to achieve bigger impact for the project.
